Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

You can download the Journal Template here : [DOWNLOAD]The paper sent to our redaction will be considered for publication with the following criteria:

1. Before sending the article, the author must register in the web open journal system of the Jurnal Islamic Counseling. Can      be http://journal.staincurup.ac.id/index.php/JBK/user/register
2. The articles must follow the focus and scope of the Jurnal Islamic Counseling.
3. The articles are the results of the writer's paper which do not indicate plagiarism which are evidenced by the  results of          the plagiarism check aplication by the editorial team. Plagiarism tolerance  should be under 20 percent
4. Articles have not been published in journals or other publishing media or are in the process of publishing in other journals
5. Articles are the result of research or conceptual study.
6. Articles consist of 4000-6000 words outside of titles, abstracts, and bibliography
7. Articles are written in English or Indonesian
8. The organisation of the writing is followed the template of Jurnal Islamic Counseling.
9. The article framework covers :
    o Title: Written in black bold. Not more than 16 words. There should no be abbreviated sentences
    o The author's name (without a academic title) is written in bold
    o Author’s institution, city and country
    o Author's email address
    o Abstract: Contains 150-200 words. The abstract of research paper should contain: purpose, method, and research                 finding. Meanwhile the abstract of non-research paper includes purpose,method and discussion.
    o Keywords consist of 3-5 words
    o Introduction: to explain the theoretical background, related research, the practical applications and the nature and                 purpose of the article.
    o Methods: Method Section that describes the participants the materials the procedures employed in the study such as             treatment(s) and data analysis.
    o Results (findings) and Discussion: Results should be clear and concise. Discussion should explore the significance of the         results of the work, not repeat them. A combined Results and Discussion section is often appropriate. Avoid extensive           citations and discussion of published literature.
    o Conclusion: The main conclusions of the study may be presented in a short conclusions section, which may stand alone         or form a subsection of a discussion or Results and discussion section.
    o Bibliography
10. In writing references and bibliography using the Chicago Style 17th Edition
11. References used are not more than the last 7 year
12. It is recommended to use Mendeley or Zotero reference management
13. It is recommended to cite articles in the Jurnal Islamic Counseling
14. Willing to follow the rules and the process of publishing the Jurnal Islamic Counseling
15. Before submitting, MAKE SURE that the article is really in accordance with the theme and author guidelines

  • It includes references by the following format below: Djamarah, Saiful Bahri. Guru dan Anak Didik dalam InteraksiEdukatif. Jakarta: Rineka Cipta, 2002.
Footnote Example:
  • It includes references by the following format below: Saiful Bahri Djamarah, Guru dan Anak Didik dalam Interaksi Edukatif (Jakarta: Rineka Cipta, 2002), hlm. 12-14.
  1. The paper will be reviewed and edited without changing any substantial content.
  2. The transliterated paper must be based on the transliterating rules.
  3. The rejected paper will be notified to the author via OJS or email.


ON-LINE SUBMISSION

 Author should fulfill the form as detail as possible where the star marked form must be entered. After all form textbox was filled, Author clicks on “Register” button to proceed the registration. Therefore, Author is brought to online author submission interface where Author should click on “New Submission”. The following are five steps in online submission process:

  1. Step 1 - Starting the Submission: Select the appropriate section of journal, i.e. Original Research Articles, Review Article, or Short Communication. Thus, author must check-mark on the submission checklists.
  2. Step 2 – Uploading the Submission: To upload a manuscript to this journal, click Browse on the Upload submission file item and choose the manuscript document file to be submitted, then click Upload button.
  3. Step 3 – Entering Submission’s Metadata: In this step, detail authors metadata should be entered including markedcorresponding author. After that, manuscript title and abstract must be uploaded by copying the text and paste in the textbox including keywords.
  4. Step 4 – Uploading Supplementary Files: Supplementary file should be uploaded including Covering/Submission Letter, and Signed Copyright Transfer Agreement Form. Therefore, click on Browse button, choose the files, and then click on Upload button.
  5. Step 5 – Confirming the Submission:  Author should final check the uploaded manuscript documents in this step. To submit the manuscript to Islamic Counseling journal, click Finish Submission button after the documents is true. The corresponding author or the principal contact will receive an acknowledgement by email and will be able to view the submission’s progress through the editorial process by logging in to the journal web address site.

After this submission, Author who submits the manuscript will get a confirmation email about the submission. Therefore, Author is able to track his submission status at anytime by logging in to the online submission interface. The submission tracking includes status of manuscript review and editorial process.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Authors are not required to pay an Article Submission Fee as part of the submission process to contribute to review costs.

If this paper is accepted for publication, you will not be asked to pay an Article Publication Fee to cover publications costs.
